Thank you!

Why Digital Marketing Matters business forum was hailed as a resounding success by all who attended last week. The event attracted total 300 delegates and guests, ranging from departmental store companies, design & creative houses, media agencies, food & beverages companies, education institutions etc.
The business forum was launched with an opening address by Malaysiakini CEO, Mr. Premesh Chandran, and the event took off on a big start with a keynote speaker, from Google Malaysia, Product Marketing Manager for SMEs - Deon Moh. He shared the importance of digital marketing to SMEs Malaysia, He offered participants staggering figures on the reality of the lack of internet infiltration among SMEs. "There are 18 million of Malaysians able to access to internet, 700,000 SMEs in Malaysia but only 15 % of them have website".

The first panel discussion included Groupon Malaysia' Joel Neoh, Lelong.my's Richard Tan, DiGi's Mark Darren Lee, moderated by CEO of Malaysiakini, Premesh Chandran. All of the panelists shared their experience and opportunity of digital business which inspired most of the guests. It was a real surprise for the audience when they were presented with a White Blackberry price giveaway by Mark Darren Lee from DiGi to two winners who was the first to answer a question correctly!
Besides, Worthy Books sponsored facial and slimming vouchers that worth RM250 each, and Churp Churp sponsored the cute flash drives to participants who raised questions to speakers!



Churp Churp's Timothy Tiah, Social Grooves.com's Christopher Tock , So+Co's Alexdrina Chong and Mindvalley's Khai Yong added flavour to the lively panel discussions both in morning and afternoon, bringing to light some noteworthy social media campaigns that have taken place. Some of the cases sharing like: Coke Project Re: Brief by Google, Olympus social media campaign and Julie's Share The Love campaign.

The last sharing session was led by Says.com's Christopher Wee, New Media School's Chu Tzu Ming and Effective Measure's Dinesh Arasaratnam and Mindvalley's Justyna Jastrzebska discussed the elements for designing a website and sales funnel with analytic tools.

Guests were offered a grreat opportunity to network amongst themselves and with speakers, while savouring an array of drinks, courtesy by Nescafe Dolce Gusto.
